Seven new Council homes to let at Edgecombe Road

A brand new development of seven homes, built for families on the Oxford City Council waiting list.

Edgecombe Road, Barton, Oxford

Seven new homes built on the former site of the Royal British Legion Club

A brand new development of 1 x four-bed, 2 x three-bed and 4 x  two-bed homes for families on the Oxford City Council waiting list.

About Edgecombe Road

The development has been supported with £340,000 in funding from the Oxfordshire Housing and Growth Partnership.

This former site of the Royal British Legion Club was demolished in September 2020 after lying derelict for more than four years. A poppy motif has been incorporated into the brickwork to commemorate the site’s heritage

Enhanced building fabric and air tightness standards, together with the use of solar panels, mean that the new homes achieve 56% above carbon reduction requirements of current building regulations.

Helen Horne, managing director of OX Place, said: “OX Place is committed to developing the best homes for every site that we work on. Edgecombe Road has some beautifically architectural features that enhance the experience of living in these homes. They are light, spacious and have bags of storage. I hope the families that live here enjoy and thrive in their new homes.”
